Hampshire Chinese Association Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 in Southampton
By Hampshire Chinese Association
Hampshire Chinese Association (HCA), together with UK Shaolin, was delighted to welcome members, families, friends and community guests to our 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival celebration in Southampton today.
The Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节) is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals, representing family, reunion, friendship and togetherness. The celebration provided a wonderful opportunity for people to come together, enjoy traditional mooncakes and Chinese tea, meet new friends and share Chinese culture with the wider community.
Celebrating Chinese Culture and Community
At Hampshire Chinese Association, one of our key aims is to connect communities and promote greater understanding of Chinese culture and traditions across Hampshire.
Events such as the Mid-Autumn Festival give Chinese families an opportunity to celebrate their heritage while also welcoming people from all backgrounds to discover and experience Chinese traditions.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, supported and encouraged us. Every person who gets involved helps HCA continue developing cultural events, community activities and services for the Chinese community and wider public across Hampshire.
Special Thanks to Cllr Sarah Bogle
We were particularly pleased to welcome Cllr Sarah Bogle, Leader of Southampton City Council, to join our Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.
We sincerely thank Cllr Bogle for taking the time to celebrate this important cultural occasion with our community and for her encouragement and support for community and cultural activities in Southampton.
We would also like to thank UK Shaolin for working alongside HCA to make today’s celebration possible.
Building a Stronger and More Connected Community
Today’s celebration represents what HCA hopes to continue building: a community where people can connect, celebrate their heritage, support one another and share Chinese culture with the wider community.
We look forward to welcoming even more people to our future cultural festivals, community programmes, educational activities and social events across Hampshire.
Thank you to everyone who made today’s Mid-Autumn Festival celebration so special.
From everyone at Hampshire Chinese Association, we wish you and your families happiness, good health and togetherness.
中秋快乐！Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
