Chinese Arts Southampton

Chinese Arts Southampton is the first well-established Chinese music and dance group in South England, founded in 2000. For over two decades, the group has been dedicated to promoting authentic Chinese arts and cultural heritage in Southampton and the surrounding region.

Our mission is to:

• Promote traditional and contemporary Chinese music and dance
• Support cultural diversity in Southampton and across South England
• Increase awareness and understanding of Chinese art and culture within all communities
• Provide opportunities for the local Chinese community to actively contribute to the region’s multicultural landscape

Chinese Arts Southampton features a talented team of volunteer musicians and dancers and is widely recognised as one of the leading Chinese cultural groups in the region. Since its establishment, the group has been highly sought after for performances at festivals, community events, and cultural celebrations.

We offer:

• Chinese instrumental music classes
• Chinese music ensemble training
• Adult Chinese folk dance classes
• Children’s Chinese dance classes

All classes take place every Saturday afternoon during school term time in Southampton.
