Blessed with beautiful sunshine, the weather added an extra layer of warmth and brilliance to what was already a fantastic and memorable day for the city.

Historic Dragon Parade from Bargate to Marlands

The celebration began with a colourful dragon parade starting at the historic Bargate. Traditional Chinese dragons and lions danced through the streets, accompanied by powerful drumbeats. Hundreds of spectators followed the procession to the Marlands Shopping Centre, creating one of the largest Chinese New Year parades Southampton has seen in recent years.
